Creating videos for the web is part of what we do here at DivergingSoul Media but we also stumble across quite a few fun videos that are made by others too! Here is one of our recent favorites, Happy Halloween:
We recently launched a new website for Pioneer Sales Co. in Wilmington, MA. Pioneer Sales is a second generation family owned business of quality food service equipment. They distribute to and service all of New England and the New York region. This year marks Pioneer’s 40th year in business. GraVoc & DivergingSoul Media Production helped build the new Pioneer website using WordPress. This site is a great example of a simple content management system implementation for a small business. This summer DivergingSoul Media was fortunate enough to have the assistance of Eleni Maistrellis aka Eleni the Intern. Eleni, a junior at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, worked at the DivergingSoul Production lab about 20 hours a week from June to August. Her ability to learn quickly and to shift gears between web, video a writing project made her a great addition to the DivergingSoul team. Eleni spent a lot of her time in WordPress, writing for our blog and supporting our WordPress based customer sites. She also did video production work on some of our YMCA projects and she helped design the DivergingSoul Media 5th Anniversary t-shirts. A big thank you goes out to Eleni from the DivergingSoul team. All your hard work is very much appreciated and we hope to have you back again soon!
Video is everywhere. It’s on your favorite website, it’s in public lobbies and facilities, it’s on your phone, virtually everywhere you go video is being used as a major vehicle for distributing information. Why should your website be any different? If you aren’t using video in your online marketing strategy then here are some statistics that might make you reconsider. These results are from a one month study (May 2010) by comScore.com. The numbers are pretty incredible:

We just added a new video to our portfolio section. Check it out. This video was made as a web promo for La Casa De Pedro of Watertown, MA. We shot and edited this video for Web Studio Boston and it includes highlights of the restaurant and on camera talent Julie Trueria. If you have any feedback drop us a comment.
Using video to train employees and organizations is not a foreign concept. For years companies have been using videos to instruct their workers on topics such as OSHA regulations, safety, workplace conduct and more. Quite often these video libraries can be very expensive and the videos you get with them are either generic, dated or both. At DivergingSoul Media Production we recognize this ongoing dilema and we are proud to offer custom video production to help train your employees. We’ve worked with several companies in New England to provide videos and animations that speak directly to the viewer and what they’ll be working on. We also can build unique online training portals that allow employees to train from virtually anywhere. Management can track who has completed training via our custom administration portal assuring that your employees are up to speed with your company’s requirements. To learn more about our how our services can help your company and its’ training process, call or email us today!
